A truly collaborative learning experience.

Getting to the Park Plaza early? Consider EduBloggerCon. This event is a "collaborative conference" where attendees help to build and create the experience. At the start of the day, attendees will work together to develop sessions based on the submissions that attendees have indicated they are willing to facilitate or would like to learn about.

For the first time, CUE will be producing pre-conference workshops to be held at the Building Learning Communities Conference! Join us Tuesday, July 17th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm in the Plaza Ballroom. Pick up your registration materials in the Statler Room across the hall, then come over to the Plaza to meet and mingle.

Wednesday, July 18, 2012 - BLC Orientation (sponsored by ePals)

7:15am - 8:15 am

This year, we invite all newcomers to attend sessions dedicated to you. November Learning team members will answer your questions and present you with tips on how to get the most out of your time at BLC. The orientation session will be held in the Georgian room.

"Grad and Go" Market for Lunch: Wednesday - Friday

11:15 am - 2:15 pm

There will be a “grab and go” market available on the mezzanine level where you can purchase a sandwich, snack and other lunch items Wednesday through Friday from 11:15 am – 2:15 pm. You can take your food into a session or use the Plaza ballroom. Items include:

  • Assorted Sandwiches & Wraps - $7
  • Vegetarian Wraps - $6
  • Caesar Salad or Mixed Greens - $5
  • Whole Fruit - $2
  • Assorted Yogurts - $2

See Boston from the top of the Boston Children’s Museum

Building Learning Communities is invited to a Creativity Reception at FableVision Studios located on the top floor of the Boston Children’s Museum with gorgeous views of the city. Come meet and be inspired by Peter H. Reynolds, his twin brother Paul, and their team in this fabulous creative workspace from 6:00 – 7:30 pm.

The Studio is about 1.1 miles away from the Park Plaza, which is about a 15 minute cab ride with traffic. The address is 308 Congress Street, (on the top floor of the Boston Children’s Museum).

It is walk-able as well, however the walk would take about 25 minutes.

Learn little known facts and interesting insights about our unique and wonderful city.

And this is not any ordinary street tour…. You will "splashdown" as your ConDUCKtor takes your DUCK right into the Charles River. Bring your camera, ipods and videos – share the ride with family members and colleagues. We’ve booked Ducks especially for BLC participants

Price: $36 – The Duck Boat will pick you up outside of the hotel.

As an attendee of the BLC Conference, you have access to discounted Boston Red Sox baseball tickets. Simply go to aceticket.com or you can call 1-800-697-3287. If you call for tickets, they can be shipped to your hotel for no charge ($17 savings).
